Identify and evaluate a regulatory agency from a list of various
federal, state, county, and professional regulatory agencies
discussed in class to gain a strong understanding of the agency and
its impact on healthcare delivery. Each student must select a
different agency. The written evaluation should include: an
overview of agency’s purpose (why its exists) and scope of
influence; its financial oversight; the regulations the agency
addresses and how it regulates; the agency’s organizational design
(and design theory, if applicable), and an in-depth evaluation of:
the agency’s influence on healthcare systems, healthcare delivery,
and healthcare administration financing, the complexities involved,
and key consideration and implications for healthcare
administration. References to classroom learning and concepts from
the course materials are expected. All citations and reference list
should follow APA writing style guidelines.
